Caramelized onions and cranberry sauce give our sliders a holiday feel ideal for your cocktail party. Hardy types can certainly barbecue outside on a gas BBQ in winter, if you prefer to grill rather than panfry.

Ingredients

1 tbsp (15 mL) salted butter
2 onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp (25 mL) PC Splendido Balsamic Vinegar of Modena - One Leaf
1 pkg (810 g) PC Angus Sliders - Mini Angus Beef Burgers
1 pkg (378 g) PC Slider Thins Mini Burger Buns
Half 150 g-tub PC Creamy Spread with Brie
½ cup (125 mL) canned whole cranberry sauce

Instructions

  1. In frying pan, melt butter over medium heat; cook onions for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring often, or until caramelized. Stir in vinegar; cook another 1 to 2 minutes or until vinegar is absorbed.
  2. In batches, cook frozen sliders in a lightly oiled pan over medium heat for 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 minutes per side or until done.
  3. Open buns. Spread some Brie onto each bottom. Top each with a slider, a generous 1 tsp (5 mL) cranberry sauce, a small pile of onions and top.
