Quick Rating

The sweetness of the onions- from the grilled onion, the Memories sauce and the burger itself- contrasts nicely with the zip from the goat’s cheese.

Additional Information

Ingredients

4 1/2 in (1 cm) thick rounds red onion
1 pkg (568 g) PC Thick & Juicy Pork & Sautéed Onion Burgers
1 tbsp (15 mL) PC Splendido Extra Virgin Olive Oil - Cold Pressed
4 PC Gigantico Burger Buns
2 cups (500 mL) PC Organics Field Greens Salad Mix
4 oz (125 g) PC Soft Unripened Goat's Milk Cheese crumbled (about 1/2 cup/125 mL)
1/4 cup (50 mL) PC MEMORIES OF Tuscany Balsamic Vinegar & Fig Sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat barbecue to medium heat. Soak four bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Carefully run skewer horizontally through each onion slice; brush onions with oil. Place onions and frozen burgers on greased grill; cook uncovered for 12 to 14 minutes, turning once. Remove skewers from onions; set onions and burgers aside.
  3. Place buns cut side down on greased grill; heat for 1 minute or until lightly toasted. Place each bun on a dinner plate. Place some greens on each bottom bun and top with a burger. Hold an onion skewer over each burger and draw out the skewer; top with goat cheese, drizzle with Memories sauce and add top bun. Serve immediately.
