A warm lunch that’s easy to make for baby, and mom can enjoy some too! Cinnamon is a good “starter spice” for babies. Store leftovers in the refrigerator or freeze in ice cube trays for easy portioning later on.

Ingredients

1 tsp (5 mL) PC Organics 100% Pure Canola Oil
1 small onion, diced
1/4 tsp (1 mL) cinnamon
1-1/2 cups (375 mL) PC Blue Menu Chicken Broth
1/2 cup (125 mL) PC Organics Applesauce - Unsweetened
1 small sweet potato, peeled and diced

Instructions

  1. In small saucepan, heat oil over medium heat; cook onion for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring often, or until golden. Stir in potatoes, cinnamon, broth and applesauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and cook for 20 minutes or until potatoes are very tender. Cool slightly.
  2. Transfer to blender and puree until smooth. Cool slightly before serving.
